We had a pleasant lunch at Papevero. Service was friendly and professional, no complaints there. The interior felt a bit generic and not very memorable, but I came mainly for the food. Overall, everything was good, but considering the Michelin recognition I expected something that stands out more. The starters were fine—my wife’s cream soup was good, while my rosół felt too light and watery, lacking depth and proper meat stock richness. For mains we had lamb leg and deer fillet, both very well prepared with perfectly cooked meat. However, the portions were surprisingly large and slightly unbalanced for this level of restaurant; smaller portions with a bit more refinement would improve the experience. In the end, good food and nice service, but missing character and that extra “kick” that would make me want to return.
